Uplift Capture’s 3D and movement analysis processing begins when captured videos are uploaded from the app to Uplift’s cloud. While previous versions of Uplift Capture used to wait until an entire capture session was completed before uploading videos, we’ve now optimized and streamlined video upload, so it can begin immediately and complete even while you continue to capture other movements or subjects. This setting significantly speeds up the time between completing a capture session and reviewing results - via Signals, dashboards, CSV or API, or cloud visualizer..

How it works

Auto upload is a new setting in Uplift Capture as of version 2.5.488. It is enabled by default. alt text While you are capturing movements in Uplift Capture, the app will begin uploading videos from both the primary and secondary devices immediately after the video is taken. Assuming a strong network connection, in many cases all videos will already be uploaded by the time you end a session and move on to the next athlete.

When would you disable this setting?

In almost every scenario, keeping Auto Upload enabled is your best bet. However if you are experiencing certain issues, disabling this feature is a good troubleshooting step and may reduce the load on the devices. These issues include:
  • Any network connection issues
  • Devices unpairing
  • Devices getting too hot
If Auto Upload is disabled, videos will be uploaded after a session is completed, and the app is no longer capturing video.

Notes:

  • If you are capturing using offline mode, your videos will not upload until you’re reconnected to the internet regardless of the Auto Upload setting.
  • If you are running an earlier version of Uplift Capture than 2.5.488, please update your app via the App Store.
