Uplift Capture’s checkerboard calibration uses proprietary Uplift checkerboards to calibrate your two-camera motion capture setup. Here we provide checkerboards in three sizes: Medium Posterboard (14” x 19”), Large Posterboard (30” x 40”), and Letter (8.5” x 11”) . For most use cases, we recommend using the Medium Posterboard option. Any setups where the cameras are placed greater than ~15 feet from the checkerboard should use the larger posterboard size. While the letter size checkerboard is the easiest since it can be printed on a standard home or office printer, this option should only be used when the cameras will be placed within 10 feet of the checkerboard in a well-lit environment.

Changing checkerboard settings in the app

If you want to change the type of checkerboard you’re using, you can do so in the app settings, by going to Profile > Settings > Calibration settings. There you can choose between the three options.
