Technical Details

  • Variable Type: Discrete Metric
  • Data Type: Boolean (binary)
  • Units: 1 = sufficient, 0 = insufficient
  • Column Name: (implementation-specific; may be unset in documentation)
  • Measurement: Assessment of whether the stance-leg knee achieves sufficient flexion (threshold = 60 degrees) during the single-leg squat

Description

Sufficient knee flexion is a binary metric used in the single-leg squat to indicate whether the athlete achieved adequate knee flexion (at least 60 degrees) on the stance leg. It complements continuous Peak Knee Flexion for pass/fail or screening use.

Use Cases

  • Single-leg squat quality and depth
  • Screening and normative comparison
  • Protocol compliance (e.g., “squat to 60°”)
