# Printable checkerboard templates

> Uplift checkerboards for performing full checkerboard camera calibration

Uplift Capture's checkerboard calibration uses proprietary Uplift checkerboards to calibrate your two-camera motion capture setup. Here we provide checkerboards in three sizes: **Medium Posterboard (14" x 19")**, **Large Posterboard (30" x 40")**, and **Letter (8.5" x 11")** **.**

For most use cases, we recommend using the **Medium Posterboard** option. Any setups where the cameras are placed greater than \~15 feet from the checkerboard should use the larger posterboard size. While the letter size checkerboard is the easiest since it can be printed on a standard home or office printer, this option should only be used when the cameras will be placed within 10 feet of the checkerboard in a well-lit environment.

## Changing checkerboard settings in the app

If you want to change the type of checkerboard you're using, you can do so in the app settings, by going to Profile > Settings > Calibration settings. There you can choose between the three options.
