Technical Details
- Variable Type: Discrete Metric
- Data Type: Float
- Units: degrees (°)
- Column Name:
pelvis_stretch - Measurement: Total twist (like a tornado) range of motion of the pelvis during the serve
- typically from maximum coil (away from serve direction) to maximum uncoiling during follow through
Description
Pelvis stretch is the twist range of motion of the pelvis through the serve. It captures how much the pelvis rotates in the twist direction from the coiled position (Pelvis Coil) through the acceleration phase to contact. Greater stretch can indicate more lower-body contribution to the kinetic chain.Use Cases
- Pelvis mobility and range of motion
- Lower-body kinetic chain contribution
- Comparison with trunk stretch
