# Termination

> End of the tennis serve—when the movement is complete.

* **Measurement:** Finds the local minimum height of the non-dominant wrist after [Apex](biomechanics/activities/tennis/events/apex).

## Description

Termination marks the end of the serve when the player has completed the follow-through.
It closes the [Follow Thru](/biomechanics/activities/tennis/overhand_serve#phases) (deceleration) phase and the full serve trial.

## Use Cases

* Follow-through duration (ball contact to termination)
* Full serve duration (initiation to termination)
* Trial length and data trimming
