# Peak Hip Flexion

> Maximum hip flexion angle during the squat.

## Events / Phases

* **Bodyweight / Overhead (bilateral):** `peak_left_hip_flexion_angle`, `peak_right_hip_flexion_angle`.
* **Single leg:** `peak_hip_flexion_angle` (stance leg only)
* **SFMA:** `sfma_squat_left_hip_peak_angle`, `sfma_squat_right_hip_peak_angle`

## Description

Peak hip flexion is the maximum hip flexion angle achieved during the squat, typically at or around [Bottom](/biomechanics/activities/squat/events/bottom).
It reflects hip range of motion and loading depth.
Bilateral squats report left and right; single-leg and SFMA report per side as applicable.
