# Foot Contact

> Front foot contacts the ground during the softball pitch.

## Description

Foot Contact identifies when the front (lead) foot plants on the ground during the pitch delivery. It is detected using a combination of lead ankle and toe height, as well as ankle and toe velocity, to find the moment the foot becomes stationary on the ground.
