# T-Spine Rotation

> Biomechanical analysis of thoracic spine rotation range of motion assessment with compensation detection.

## Overview

T-spine rotation assessment evaluates the range of motion and quality of movement in the thoracic spine during rotation. This assessment provides valuable information about thoracic spine mobility and function.

## Instructions

Kneel or sit upright to minimize lumbar contribution. Cross arms over the chest or place hands behind the head. Rotate the upper body to one side as far as possible, keeping the pelvis stationary and facing forward. Hold briefly at maximum rotation, then return to center. Repeat on the opposite side.

## Notes

* Sufficient rotation is defined as ≥ 45°
