Shoulder Flexion

Overview

The shoulder flexion assessment evaluates the range of motion and quality of movement in the shoulder during forward and backward movement. This assessment measures the ability to achieve sufficient flexion and extension while maintaining proper alignment.

Events

EventData TypeDescription
Max FlexionIntFrame of maximum shoulder flexion
Max ExtensionIntFrame of maximum shoulder extension

Discrete Metrics

MetricData TypeUnitsDescription
MaxFlexionFloatdegreesMaximum shoulder flexion
MaxExtensionFloatdegreesMaximum shoulder extension
SufficientFlexionBoolean-Whether flexion is sufficient (≥ 165°)
SufficientExtensionBoolean-Whether extension is sufficient (≥ 40°)

Notes

  • All angular measurements follow ISB conventions
  • Measurements are based on ShoulderAngleWRTTrunkXYZ.X
  • Sufficient flexion is defined as ≥ 165°
  • Sufficient extension is defined as ≥ 40°
