Technical Details
- Variable Type: Discrete Metric
- Data Type: Float
- Units: meters (m)
- Column Name:
lunge_forward_lunge_depth - Measurement: Difference between the average pelvis height outside the lunge (before Initiation and after End) and the minimum pelvis height during the lunge
Description
Lunge depth is the vertical drop of the pelvis from the standing baseline to the lowest position during the forward lunge. A greater depth indicates a deeper, more demanding lunge. The baseline is computed as the average pelvis height in frames outside the lunge window (before and after the lunge) to account for subject height variation.Use Cases
- Range of motion assessment
- Movement quality and consistency
- Comparison across athletes or over time
