# End

> The end of the forward lunge, when the athlete returns to the starting position.

## Technical Details

* **Variable Type:** Event
* **Data Type:** Integer
* **Units:** Frame number
* **Column Name:** `lunge_forward_end_frame`
* **Required for QA:** True
* **Measurement:** Frame at which the lunge movement concludes, detected as the right interpolated base of the pelvis vertical trajectory peak

## Description

End marks the completion of the forward lunge when the athlete has returned to the starting stance position.
It is detected from the pelvis vertical position waveform as the interpolated right boundary (right\_ips) of the peak prominence, and defines the end of the concentric (recovery) phase.

## Use Cases

* Lunge phase timing and duration
* Concentric phase definition (Bottom to End)
* Total rep duration
* Bounds for joint angle range-of-motion metrics
