# Kinematic Sequence

> Sequence of peak joint angular velocities during the jump.

## Technical Details

* **Variable Type:** Discrete Metric
* **Data Type:** String
* **Units:** N/A
* **Column Name:** `kinematic_sequence`
* **Aggregation:** mode
* **Precision:** 0
* **Optimal Direction:** N/A
* **Measurement:** Order in which segments (e.g., hip-knee-ankle) reach peak angular velocity during the jump

## Description

Kinematic sequence describes the order of peak angular velocities across lower extremity segments (and optionally trunk/arms) during the jump.
An efficient sequence typically progresses from proximal to distal (e.g., hip → knee → ankle), supporting energy transfer and jump height.

## Use Cases

* Technique and sequencing quality
* Comparison with optimal sequence
* Training and coaching feedback
