# Jump Height

> Maximum height reached during the jump.

## Technical Details

* **Variable Type:** Discrete Metric
* **Data Type:** Float
* **Units:** meters (m)
* **Column Name:** `jump_height`
* **Aggregation:** mean
* **Precision:** 2
* **Optimal Direction:** Higher is better
* **Measurement:** Maximum vertical displacement of center of mass (or equivalent) during the jump

## Description

Jump height is the maximum height reached during the jump, typically derived from flight time or from the peak vertical position of the center of mass. It is a primary performance outcome for vertical jump assessments.

## Use Cases

* Vertical jump performance
* Power and explosiveness assessment
* Pre/post intervention comparison
