Technical Details

  • Variable Type: Event
  • Data Type: Integer
  • Units: Frame number
  • Column Name: bottom_of_landing_frame
  • Required for QA: False
  • Measurement: Lowest pelvis height during the landing eccentric phase

Description

Landing bottom marks the instant when the pelvis reaches its lowest point during the landing absorption (eccentric) phase. This event separates landing eccentric from landing concentric (stand-up) phase.

Use Cases

  • Landing eccentric vs. concentric phase definition
  • Landing stiffness and absorption metrics
  • Knee valgus at landing bottom
